Celiac disease is a common autoimmune disease that affects the small intestineof genetically predisposed individuals. This disease can be expressed by a widerange of extra-digestive signs including cutaneous, endocrine, hepatic, skeletal, hematological, gynecological and dental abnormalities. The existence of neurological manifestations of celiac disease is known for a longtime, dominated by ataxia and peripheral neuropathies. Other disorders of thecentral and peripheral nervous system have also been described in associationwith celiac disease; however, they remain mainly unrecognized, as are some psy-chiatric presentations. The purpose of this systematic review is to describe the neurological and psy-chiatric manifestations of celiac disease, based on the most recent data in theliterature.
