Walking Towards Peace: Generating Synergies at a Regional Level

Abstract

Walking Towards Peace is a regional community of practice made up of peace and justice organizations across Latin America and the Caribbean. Its goals are to build capacity for Catholic grassroots organizations with peacebuilding methodologies, to share peacebuilding experiences, and promote the role of the Catholic Church as an agent of peacebuilding. Through its cooperative regional focus and its focus on communities of practice, Walking Towards Peace exemplifies synodality in action, and it shows how synodality can be connected to peacebuilding praxis.
