Identidad y Decisiones Políticas de Jóvenes Brasileños, Argentinos y Uruguayos

Abstract

This text analyses some characteristics of political culture and historical consciousness of young people, mainly about their references of identity and political attitudes, based on qualitative data from the pilot research “Youth and History”. Methodologically, the project worked with Likert scale questionnaires responded by young persons from different regions of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. It is discussed the theme of identity and political decisions in contemporaneity, and come results from the questionary about these issues are analyzed. The results indicate the predominance of individual values, shaded by some preoccupations in the meeting area between the personal and the collective, that is, the social welfare and the nature’s preservation. The study also reveals a general tendency for low decisive positions, nearer to the indifference or absence of opinion.
