Onomatopoeic and Errative Vocabulary as a Text-Forming Linguo-Creative Means of Mass Media

The article is devoted to the linguistic and creative features of the media language. The author analyzes language game techniques based on errative word creation and onomatopoeia. It was revealed that the use of such lexical units enhances the communicative impact on the audience and attraction. Methods of observation, word-formation and stylistic analysis, critical analysis of media discourse, targeted sampling of occasional units, erratives, and descriptive were used. As a result of the study, types of onomatopoeic occasional units as a linguo-creative text-forming means are presented, among them erratives are characterized. The functions of these units were established in the program about the life of the capital’s cat Bublik on the channel “Moscow 24”.
