The global effects of the Covid-19 pandemia have disrupted the normal of human beings. In this period, the agriculture and food sector has reached a very sensitive and strategic position because of the extraordinary condition. It has been understood that the supply chain from the producer to the consumer should not be disrupted in order to ensure safe food production and consumption. Market demand was decreased in the agriculture and food sector as a result of the increase in hygiene and sanitation rules applied in order to keep the risk of disease and contamination at a minimum. Aquaculture and fisheries as a part of agriculture which carried out in water has also been directly damaged by this global crisis. It has been scientifically proven that fish with crucial protein and lipid is strategically important product at the primary level among the other foods offered for consumption in order to be healthy and maintain vital activities. The sustainability of aquaculture production should be developed in a holistic approach within the agricultural sector considering the catastrophic effects of restricting the access of the increasing world population to qualified food resources. The Covid-19 period that will be a candidate as a historical era for the future has taught humanity that food ethics and assurance can only be possible with responsible agriculture and aquaculture practices. The effects of the Covid-19 pandemia on the aquaculture and fisheries have been reviewed within the framework of global and local sources and our knowledge and predictions.
