Aspects Regarding the Optimization of the Induction Heating Process using Fmincon, Minimax functions and Simple Genetic Algorithm

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to study the inductionheating processes by using optimal design with GeneticAlgoritms (GAs) respectively fmincon and minimaxoptimisation methods. The optimisation is performed inorder to obtain a high value of electrical efficiency of theinductor, as well a minimum non-uniformity of thetemperature distribution in the workpiece. The optimisationis performed in two different ways: by using a simplegenetic algorithm and with fmincon and minimaxfunctions.
