Möglichkeiten der Rekonstruktion von mittel- bis hochgradigen Ohrdefekten
Abstract
The incidence of ear deformities is about 150 cases/newborns per year in Germany. The porous polyethylene ear implant is an alloplastic biomaterial, which is used for reconstruction of high-grade ear deformities. The polyethylene ear framework is covered by a superficial temporoparietal fascia flap to provide the engraftment of free skin transplants, which covers the newly reconstructed ear. Additionally other options for ear reconstruction of high-grade ear deformity are the ear reconstruction using autologous rib cartilage as well as the rehabilitation with an ear prosthesis.
