The taxonomy of species of genus Vaccinium and their Ukrainian names

Abstract

A systematic position of species of the Vaccinium genus is considered on the base of present classification. The Ukrainian names of these species are specified. We proposed for aboriginous species the name which were formed historically (brusnytsya, chornytsya, buyakhy, zhuravlyna), but for introduced species it would be better to use zhuravlyna for Oxycoccus, vaksynium – for Vaccinium.
