Biogeography, as a critical social science, needs to improve its theoretical and methodological basis in order to apprehend the new (social) nature of the world. As professors and researchers, it falls to us to think about the pluralism of conceptions in biogeography research and identify new variants which could be incorporated by the biogeographic studies to turn it closer to Geography and to present time.
