The scope of this work is to analyze comparatively the poetry of the Mato Grosso poet Manoel de Barros with work La trahison des images by the Belgian artist René Magritte. It’s noted that the Poetry of Manoel de Barros carries in itself marks of the Surrealism, worked in development with the language: its destruction and recreation of words that surpass the logical reality, reaches the great transcendence of the Universe, by means of an exercise of Poetry. By practicing poetic Manoelino, words organize, intertwine, merge, in a tangle of odd images, to surreal taste. Already Magritte was a poet of painting and the word surrealist, playing with painting and verb, banality and arbitrariness between painting and word. The main objective of this work is to analyze the painting of Magritte in comparison to the art of poetry of Barros that presents in his work minute objects, of the daily, creation of metaphors, with an inaugural language, totally illogical as it does with the painting of the Belgian artist.
