« Raconter son histoire avec les langues »
Abstract
We analyze here data collected during the implementation of a "language biographies" session, at the beginning of a primary school teachers training. This session was offered in September 2018 to seven trainee teachers as a first step into their training in language teaching, with the aim of triggering their reflexivity on plurilingualism. They were asked to write one autobiographical essay at the very beginning and a autofictional essay later on. This double introspective writing was intended to offer an opportunity for the young teachers to (re)discover their links with languages and to take a first reflexive look at their language learning and practicing embedded into their respective histories.
