Microwave enhanced green and convenient synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromenes in aqueous hydrotropic medium
Abstract
Microwave enhanced one pot three component synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromenes in aqueous hydrotropic medium is reported. The aqueous hydrotropic medium represents a green solvent under microwave irradiation. The synthetic methdology under microwave irradiation is renewable and sustainable tool of energy saveing. The number of different aromatic aldehydes was condensed with malononitrile and α-Naphthol or β-Naphthol in aqueous hydrotropic medium under microwave irradiation gives different derivatives of 2-amino-4H-chromenes obtained in good to excellent yield. This exhibits environmentally benign methodology with simple experimental and work up procedure. The significant features of this methods are shorter reaction time, non-toxic, reusable, inexpensive, biodegradable and high yield of product.
