Materials to the fauna of marsh beetles (Coleoptera: Scirtidae) of the Northwest Caucasus

Abstract

The paper presents a generalized list of marsh beetles (Scirtidae) of the fauna of the Northwest Caucasus, including 19 species from six genera. New localities are given for 11 species. Two species are recorded for Russia and Krasnodar Region for the first time: Contacyphon lepidulus (Nyholm, 1968) and C. wittmeri (Nyholm, 1970) sensu Klausnitzer, 2009; six species for Adygea: Contacyphon euoplus (Nyholm, 1970), C. lepidulus (Nyholm, 1968), C. ochraceus (Stephens, 1830), C. palustris (Thomson, 1855), C. wittmeri (Nyholm, 1970) sensu Klausnitzer, 2009 and Scirtes hemisphaericus (Linnaeus, 1758).
