Among the stylistic characteristics of Gheorghe Neaga's music stands out the valorification of the thematic material with national origins in close connection with the local folk song. The purpose of this article is to highlight some examples observed in suite genre opuses, in which, although no direct quotations or imitations from folklore will be found, Gheorghe Neaga manages to find a way of rethinking the folkloric element at the intonation, melodic or rhythmic level, through which genuine music acquires a slight scientific significance. Included in the scores of all suites by the most original methods, various rhythmic, melodic or modal elements it tells about the author's continued attachment to the ancestral song.
