Software development process monitoring method based on textual data analysis

Abstract

According to statistics, a significant number of IT projects fail due to problems in work processes, rather than due to a lack of technical expertise. This publication is devoted to the problem of effective measurement and monitoring of the development process in software engineering. The aim is to improve the process of monitoring software development. A method of monitoring the process of software development based on textual data that arise during development is proposed. The results of the experiments show that the use of the proposed method allows to speed up the monitoring of the software development process by 22%. Ref. 16, pic. 3., tabl. 3.
