Archaeological survey of the battlefield Gozalvo vertex, Lucena del Cid, Castellón

Abstract

The discovery of the remains of a Spanish Civil War soldier, gave rise to an extensive archaeological survey with a metal detector, which allowed us to recover several thousand objects and to document more than a hundred structures. The study of materials has documented the intensity of almost unknown military operations, deployment and movement of the forces involved, and even the quality and external influence on the ordnance on both sides.
