Long term results of photodynamic therapy (PDT) efficiency in treatment patients with periodontitis

Abstract

Current research is aimed at long term results evaluation of the photodynamic therapy efficacy in treatment patients with periodontitis. Light-emitting-diode lamp «Fotosan» with wavelength 625-635 nm was used as light source. Toluidine blue was used as photosensitizer. This article presents results of the photodynamic therapy treatment patients with periodontitis in 6, 12 and 24 months. The current study results show PDT efficacy in endodontic treatment.
