O Ceitil. Um símbolo da Modernidade portuguesa e a sua evolução estética (1440’-1570’)

Abstract

The history and the aesthetical evolution of a coin that is a symbol of the Portuguese Mo-dernity between the mid-15th century and the second half of the 16th century. Since the Ceitil is the most common coin is archaeological excavations and at the same time easily degradable, it is very important to get as much information as possible from the less preserved coins.
