On one forgotten anniversary (two hundred years from the beginning of Vuk's philological and pholclore investigation)

Abstract

This paper is a reminder of the year 1813 when Vuk Stefanović Karadžić set out for Vienna where he started his philological and folklore investigations. Full 200 years later, Vuk's language and orthography reforms still attract the attention of philologists, ethnologists, and historians throughout Slavic sphere.
