This paper presents the contribution of theauthors regarding the modeling of a software definedradio - SDR. The digital radios are base on ADCinterfaces that convert the base band signal in a digitalformat and a DSP that accomplish the demodulationaccording to a suitable digital processing algorithm. Totest the model the authors chosen a radio signal with aWeibull distribution quadrature amplitude modulationQAM that pass through a scattering medium till the RFfront end of the SDR. The fading effect was also takeninto consideration. The results of the demodulation usingthe proposed model of SDR were compared with aRayleigh distribution. The simulation results made by thehelp of MATLAB program emphasize the effects of thequantization levels of the ADC circuit.
