Research through education: analysis of educational care to the distributors of the prison units of Alagoas-A ressocialização através da educação: análise do atendimento educacional aos apenados das unidades prisionais de Alagoas

Abstract

One of the major problems faced by prison units in Brazil is the absence of resocializing practices as well as the lack of compliance with the rights of the prisoners, according to the law. In view of the above, the present research sought to investigate the importance of resocialization in the lives of reeducators, with emphasis on the educational bias within the prisons. As the object of the survey we take the reality of the prison units of Alagoas, we analyze the measures taken by the state government to provide the prisoners with access to education. It is a qualitative research, having as methods the bibliographical and documentary revision.
