The present article aims at pointing out the relationship between the literary Project of Graciliano Ramos and that of João Antônio, focusing on some non-fictional texts in which both authors present their respective views on literature. Among the comparative aspects, we highlight the political engagement of both writers, to whom literature should be a form of understanding and problematize reality.
