Abstract

Volcanic ash alteration supports chemolithotrophic activity at the seabed and contributes to the production of microbial biomass during diagenesis, suggest analyses of isoprenoid and branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers distributions in Mariana Trough tuffs and adjacent sediments.
