Financial Management of the Polish Anti-Doping Agency – Selected Aspects

Abstract

The Act of 21 April 2017 on combating doping in sport, abolished the - active since 1988 - Commission for Combating Doping in Sport. - Commission for Combating Doping in Sport, which was previously the main body for combating doping in sport, and was replaced by the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (abbreviated as POLADA). This article presents, on the basis of the aforementioned Act and other legal acts and literature, aspects of the financial management of this body, focusing on its revenues and own funds, and in particular on the issue of the public entity's business activities. In addition, reference will be made to the Agency's expenses and its financial plan and reporting activities, concluding with de lege ferenda considerations. This was also the aim of this article. A dogmatic-legal method is used in the study.
