The importance of the role of diagnosis in designing and undertaking activities in the field of crisis intervention
Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the significance of the crisis phenomenon as a multidimensional, complex phenomenon in its structure. The article aims to illustrate the crisis situation as a phenomenon causing the disintegration of the current structure of client / patient functioning. The aim of the article is to indicate the importance of diagnosis, that is, the correct use of psychological, pedagogical methods, techniques and tools to integrate the way the client functions, by restoring the previous state of functioning or even improving functioning. The aim of the article is to familiarize the reader with the TAF diagnostic tool (Triage Assessment Form, by R. A. Myer, R.C. Williams, A.J. Ottens and A.E. Schmidt) used in crisis intervention. The correct diagnosis and proper choice of methods of working with the client is the most important part of work with a person in crisis situation. The article aims to show the possibility of using the TAF diagnostic tool for solving a crisis situation. The basis for the content presented in the article is more than 12-year practice of working with people in various types of crises. The aim of the article is to indicate the potentials, resources of the client, which allow him to function better, and allow him to start healing process. The klients resources can be extracted through a properly, matter-of-fact and accurate diagnosis of the client's person and the crisis situation.
