Global Biography Projects: Going Deeper with Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening

Abstract

This vignette explores using a global biography project to connect students with global titles while helping them improve their reading and writing skills. Providing books about historical figures from all around the world allow them to engage with people and cultures that may have previously been inaccessible, while encouraging them to read critically by searching for ways they may relate to the story.
