Lanscape and cultural diversity in a region
Abstract
Objective: to explore the different expressions within the diversity observed in Veracruz city and its conurbation. Method: a mixed methodologic approach was used, applying a non probabilistic survey with focalized observation. For its quantitative dimension, 360 instruments were applied and the qualitative observation defined units to register significant aspects of the local culture. Results: there are practices and habits that allow tracing the urban landscape of the diversity that characterizes the daily life of the habitants, where the appropriation of consumer offers and experiences, becomes distinctive signs produced by the heterogeneity and differences that prevail among the social groups that co-inhabit the analyzed conurbation.
