Abstract
In the field of mental health workers, a new profession is emerging: animators of art workshops in psychiatry, also called "art therapists". Our paper reveals the results of a survey conducted in Belgium among these new professionals. In portraying this new group of "distributed" workers, we will discuss the reasons for their difficult process of professionalization.
