Peer assessment is a method that helps to improve students' learning in various subjects. Some researchers have shown that this method is also effective for moral development. The main purpose of this research was to extract the efficient conditions of this method for moral education, by using the rich teachings of the Qur'an and hadiths. The research method was descriptive-analytical. The statistical population consisted of verses of Holy Quran and narrations of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and a purposeful and relevant sample was selected and then the selected verses and narrations were analyzed and their implications for the effectiveness of peer evaluation were extracted and categorized. Findings indicate that the most important conditions for peer assessment effectiveness are: A) conditions about the feedback provider (accurate cognition, God-pleasing benevolence, honesty and fairness in evaluation, secrecy, non-spying, clear and reasoned expression, gentleness and tolerance while being frank, offering corrective suggestions, self-correcting priority); B) conditions for corrective feedback receiver (correcting self-attitude, correcting attitude towards others' feedback, correcting attitude towards evaluator, openness and acceptance, distinguishing content from evaluator, reflecting on feedback, gratitude and appreciation, actively seeking feedback, forgiveness and positive thinking toward incorrect feedback). To achieve this, it seems that teachers must first be trained in this field and acquire the necessary attitudes and skills, recognize the role of students in education and be able to distribute the responsibility of assessment. Then, equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills.
