A partir del proyecto Durand de Le Corbusier, Oued-Ouchaia, Argelia (1933-1934). Evolución tipológica del ‘bloque escalonado’ en la obra de Antonio Bonet
Abstract
This article analyses the typological evolution of the ‘setback blocks’ in the work of Antonio Bonet, seen through Le Corbusier’s Durand project. The purpose of this article is to reveal the relationship of this project with the work of Bonet; an architect who did not conceive his projects to be pure personal inventions, but instead the work of transforming pre-existing material based on the theoretical principles of GATCPAC and Le Corbusier. In Bonet’s work no clear distinction can be seen separating architecture and urbanism. Bonet’s styles or patterns give the dwellings a complementary and combinatory capacity, which extends to the town planning and the city.
