Abstract For acute cholecystitis in patients with left ventricular assist devices, the use of percutaneous transhepatic gallbladder drainage to calm inflammation before planned laparoscopic cholecystectomy may be helpful in safely adjusting anticoagulation and in performing safe laparoscopic cholecystectomy, as demonstrated in this case.
