PROSPECTS AND DIRECTIONS OF ETHNO-CULTURAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN YAMAL-NENETS AUTONOMOUS OKRUG

Abstract

The author considers the problems and prospects of ethnic and cultural tourism development in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and analyzes the objects of ethnic and cultural tourism, which include heritage villages and parks; ethnographic, natural history and historical museums; conducting ethnic festivals and cultural events. The paper highlights the major factors affecting the development of ethnic and cultural tourism in the Autonomous Region. Analyzing the ethno-cultural potential of the region arouses theissue of the prospects of ethnic and cultural tourism and the preservation of ethnic and cultural heritage of indigenous peoples living in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
