Las exportaciones e importaciones corresponden a flujos que conforman el comercio internacional desde la óptica global, y de comercio exterior al referirse a lo que un país exporta y recibe. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el impacto ocasionado de las exportaciones e importaciones entre Ecuador y la Unión Europea, mediante el acuerdo comercial multipartes. Se utilizó un estudio exploratorio, descriptivo y no experimental de información obtenida de datos históricos de la relación comercial entre ambos bloques. Los resultados obtenidos fueron presentados en 4 indicadores: primero; análisis de las exportaciones por continente, área económica y país, segundo; un análisis de la balanza comercial, tercero; principales países de la UE de destino de las exportación e importaciones ecuatorianas y cuarto; comportamiento de las exportaciones e importaciones. Se concluye que el acuerdo ocasionó un impacto positivo, dinamizando la economía, donde la eliminación de la carga arancelaria para la libre comercialización de bienes y servicios permitió que las exportaciones hacia la UE mantuvieran un crecimiento constante llegando a más USD 3000 millones por año y la UE representó más del 15% del destino total de las exportaciones realizadas por el país, durante 2010 – 2019, ubicándose en cuarto lugar como mayor aliado de comercio. Abstract Exports and imports correspond to flows that make up international trade from a global perspective, and foreign trade by referring to what a country exports and receives. This article aims to analyze the impact caused by exports and imports between Ecuador and the European Union through the multiparty trade agreement. It was carried out using an exploratory, descriptive and non-experimental study of information obtained from historical data on the commercial relationship between both blocks. The results obtained were sent in 4 indicators: first; an analysis of Exports by continent, Economic Area and Country, second; an analysis of the Trade Balance, third; main EU countries of destination of Ecuadorian exports and imports and fourth; behavior of exports and imports. The results revealed that the level of evolution of exports and imports have had a constant growth since 2010-2019, where we find that 72% of what the country has exported to the EU has been fruits, with special interest in bananas (30%), followed by fish, shrimp, tuna and their processed products (42%), while the main imported products were machinery and equipment (22%), chemical products (11%), instruments and appliances (10%).
