Literature review on response of aquatic macrophytes species to hydromophological pressures
Abstract
Presented as biological indicators, the aquatic macrophytes, according to their community and distribution are important elements for water quality determination. In lakes there are many hydro-morphological pressures that play an important role in the distribution of aquatic macrophytes. The paper presents an overviewof recent literature on species response to hydrological and chemical factors in lakes. The indicators species and their response to pressures as well as adaptation mechanisms are summarized in tables.
