For several decades there has been the necessity to give a possible explanation about the difficulties in the academic performance and discipline of students in basic education. In response we have a series of causes such as: lack of concentration, lack of discipline, lack of attention, undernourishment, inadequate family atmosphere and others, but unfortunately none importance has been giving to the ma-nagement of emotional control in teachers of basic education and its influence in the performance and discipline of students. For this reason this research focuses on dusting prejudices, myths and traditions, which are considered as a principle in the pedagogical intervention of teachers, in which their main role as the Manager of the emotional atmosphere in the classroom is ignored. There are countless methods, teaching and learning strategies that can be successfully and appropriately used, so that the students learn and develop their cognitive processes, but where are their affections, emotions and feelings? This work will allow us to discover the causes of learning inconsistence, proposing new solutions like the application of the emotional intelligence in the classroom.
