Preparation of quick-drying superhydrophobic coating based on hydrophobic SiO2 particles and study of anti-icing performance
Abstract
Superhydrophobic coatings are of excellent application prospects in the field of aircraft anti-icing due to their unique properties. The aim of this paper is to develop a superhydrophobic coating with good corrosion resistance and anti-deicing properties. Hydrophilic silica nanoparticles are prepared using ethyl orthosilicate and hydrophobically modified by poly. Subsequently, the hydrophobic nanoparticles are combined with fluorosilicone resin to prepare a superhydrophobic coating with a water contact angle of 158.6°. Finally, the anti-icing properties of the superhydrophobic coating are verified. The results show that after 50 cycles of sandpaper wear testing, the water contact angle of the coating remained at 148.5 °, demonstrating good delayed icing and de icing performance. At low temperatures of -10 and -15 ℃, the freezing time of water droplets on the coating surface is extended by 205%and 800%, respectively. Compared with uncoated tinplate, the adhesion of the coated ice layer decreased by 91.8%, and the coating exhibits good hydrophobicity to different liquids.
