The potential of tourism in the Region of Southwest Oltenia

Abstract

This study is based on cultural and historical importance of Southwest Oltenia. The region has an attractive potential for tourism development, turning to its advantage both the strategic geographic location and the natural wealth of the Carpathians and the Danube River. Identifying products and services that make up the composition of tourism as a brand is a priority to create an image that can capture the attention of potential investors, travelers and tourists. Analyzing the profile of Oltenia’s tourism offer, we can say that the region provides the most varied forms of tourism
