We intend to investigate and delimit, a certain period of film production by Raúl Ruiz, made in Chile during the last decade. Ruiz will install a type of filmic narrative inspired by the rescue of some popular stories, and of a certain Chilean literature of fines of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. If in the mid-90s, in his first Poetics of cinema, he insisted on resisting the model imposed by the industrial cinema (Hollywood), of what narration determines the image, with this series of films that work, unique way of narration in which the image becomes a determining principle. It is thus that the narrative that promotes Ruiz is a search of the remains or vestiges of experiences that do not form a part of any type of national History of monumental character, since they can be transmitted not from an image reported of the past, but from his transmission a permanent but inactual image develops. This image is our objective, since it is a construction of a type of singular narration that has an inseparable link to a thematic and aesthetic relationship with Chile
