Learning Orientation, Firm Innovation and Development

Abstract

This research studied the relationship between learning orientation and the innovation of 103 firms located in Hochiminh City. Its results showed that learning orientation has a significant positive impact on firm’s innovation. In other words, the higher commitment to learning, vision sharing and open mindedness, the higher the ability and level of the firm’s innovation. These results are consistent with the previous researches with the same topic in many countries in the world. The result also showed that learning orientation impacting on firms’ innovation – a critical factor impacting on firm’s competitive capacity and development, is true not only in the developed countries, but also in Vietnam.
