Tourism Resources and Tourism Sites’ Potential for Determining the Sustainable Tourist Routes in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province

The objectives of this research were tostudy the tourism resources and the tourism sites’ potential in Bang Yai District,Nonthaburi Provinceanddesign 4 touristroutestogether with tourism activities on those routes. The research tools were a tourism resourcesurvey form,tourism resource potential assessment form and analytical tables for creatingthe tourist routes. The results showed that there were 47 tourism resources in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province, of which 15 were natural tourism resources and 32 cultural resources. 44.68% of tourism resources in Bang Yai District hadthe moderate level of tourism potential, followed by 27.66% which had a relatively low level of tourism potential, 19.15% had a relatively high level of tourism potential and 8.51% had a low level of tourism potential. The design of 4 sustainable tourist routes according to their potential and readinessfor tourism activities considered. - (1) 2 natural tourist routes, namely Route 1- Garden Center, Boonyong:Tree Market, Suan Pa Mee 98, and Suan Chalom Cafe and Route 2- Pa Jeep Farm, Phra Ngern Tree Wholesale Market and Garden’9 Café, and (2) 2 cultural tourist routes, namely Route 1- Wat Suan Kaew, Ban Suan Bua (Pracharat Suan Bua Floating Market), Wat Don Sakae, Wat Ratprakong Tham and Wat Phra Non and Route 2- Baan Sukpaiboon Homestay, Wat Kongka, Bang Khu Lat Floating Market, Chao Pho Jui Bang Khu Lat Shrine, Wat Prang Luang and Wat Amphawan.
