Primary cervical spinal osteosarcomas are rare pathologies which rarely invade ligamentum flavum. Extent of tumoral resection is limited due to complex anatomical structure of the cervical region. For this reason, they have poor prognosis. In this report; a 63-years-old case of cervical spinal osteosarcoma invading the ligamentum flavum and presenting with rapidly progressing quadriparesis is presented. Subtotal resection of the tumor followed by neoadjuvant chemotherapy was applied and the patient partially improved during the follow-up period.
