Biologické invaze nepůvodních druhů do krajiny / Biological Invasion of Alien Species into the Landscape
Abstract
Invasive species are geographically non-native taxa with high competitive ability which enables their rapid settlement in new habitats; often at the expense of native species. These invasions of alien plant and animal species are considered key components of global environmental change. In addition, this phenomenon of biological invasions is closely related to the rapid growth of human populations and their activities, and especially the development of transport which provides population migration and the transportation of goods. It is not surprising, therefore, that the urban areas and roads have become important habitats for various invasive species, and many of these species then spread by road to the open landscape and severely affect the native plant and animal communities.
