The audiovisual, as an efficient means of informing the masses, as a coordinator, to a certain extent, of the public life, also has the function of culturalizing the masses , propogating ideas, valuable experiences, ethical principals. The article makes references both to the mission of TV journalists, and to some deficiences in verbal behaviour regarding speech technique (vocal conduct, breathing, diction, emphasis...). In addition to objections, some professional suggestions are made.
