DEVELOPMENT OF A DATA WAREHOUSE FOR PROCESSES OF THE LOGISTICS CYCLE MEDIA

Abstract

Currently companies use transactional storage systems to manage their business; They do not meet the needs of data analysis, because they are not viable in obtaining useful data for decision-making. Therefore there is a need to create a data warehouse to check the information regarding the logistics cycle of media in order to support the process of decision making. To this end, various theoretical elements related to data warehouses addresses, which are an alternative management for enterprise business considering that the data are not altered or destroyed but are used for future reference, making it a powerful tool specializing in the management of historical data. For the design of the solution it was made using various tools and guidance for developing data warehouses Company XETID. A set of quality tests are also carried out to ensure proper operation.
