Presented in the publication is the structural analysis of packaging wastes occurring in production plants of milk processing plants. The material constituted polls conducted in production plants, covering data concerning amount of production, quantity of packaging wastes occurring in the plant, and mode of their utilization. In diary plants the quantity of packaging wastes per 1000 l of raw milk ranged from 0.3 to 2,8 kg. It was shown that in four years (2005-2008) amount of packaging waste has grown and the dominant group of wastes were paper and cardboard.
