After the proclamation of the Republic, Turkic Studies Institute affiliated to Istanbul University (Darülfünun) Literature Faculty was established in 1924 so as to carry out studies in the field of Turkology and to publish the works. By annexing the sentence to the Institute’s regulation as "The copyright of the journal published by the Institute entirely belongs to the regulations of the Faculty of Literature", the publication of the Turkic Journal was determined to be published. Although the journal has continued the works on Turkish cultural life since it was first published in August 1925, it was interrupted between 1977 and 1996. In our study, the bibliographic examination of the articles in the first issue in August 1925 and 18th issue in 1976 which contributed to the Turkish history has been conducted, also chronological order has been given and summarizing and evaluation have been done by selecting articles from the journal. In the selection of the articles, in addition to choosing the names contributing to the Turkish history and language, by considering the contents, the articles supporting the "Turkish History Thesis" has been chosen meticulously. With the method of summarizing the articles selected from within the journal, some of the affairs of Turkish history, along with the lives and works of the article authors have been mentioned. Besides, our work provides the information about its history, contents, mission and vision of the journal.
