Rapid technical development of multispiral computer tomography (MSCT) and possibility to perform researches with cardiosynchronization, considerably enlarged possibilities for non-invasive diagnostics of heart diseases and coronary arteries. With the advent of multidetector computer systems with 64, 256 and 320 series of detectors it significantly increased quality of the received images that allows to estimate not only a lumen of coronary arteries, status of cardiac cavities and wall thickness, but also analyse heart chamber functions, to reveal valvular pathological changes. The speed and reliability of diagnostics reached by means of MSCT led to fast introduction of this method in daily practice in cardiology and cardiac surgery.
