The editors of the "Municipality: Economics and Management" journal have the honor to introduce our distinguished guest - Vladimir Vladimirovich Yakushev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District. Despite being busy, Vladimir Vladimirovich found an opportunity to answer the editors’ questions in a conversation with Oleg Vasilievich Gushchin, Director of the Ural Institute of Management - branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Yakushev was born on June 14, 1968 in the city of Neftekamsk (currently, the Republic of Bashkortostan), although he spent a significant part of his childhood, as well as his youth, in the city of Nadym, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. In 1985 he entered the Pskov branch of the Leningrad Polytechnical Institute. Having finished the first year of studies he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. In 1993, V.V. Yakushev graduated from the Tyumen State University with a degree in Law and for several years successfully worked in the bank sector of the economy. The further Vladimir Vladimirovich’s labor activity is connected with the public authorities. In the period from 2001 to 2005 – he was the Vice-Governor of the Tyumen Region. From November 2005 to May 2018, V. V. Yakushev three times was the governor of the Tyumen region. For two years, he worked as the Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation. From November 2020 up to now - the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Head of the Russian state in the Urals.
