Abstract

El trabajo presenta un análisis de la relación poder-saber en el contexto universitario. A partir de la exploración de la estructura organizacional de la Universidad de Los Lagos, en la docencia y en la gestión institucional, se identifican los espacios del poder material y simbólico que ocupan los hombres y las mujeres. Se exponen los resultados de un análisis intergenérico a nivel de posiciones en el escalafón académico, las remuneraciones y la inserción de las mujeres al equipo docente tanto en la jornada laboral como en su distribución disciplinaria. La investigación busca develar los factores que determinan la distribución de los espacios de poder en la Universidad, estableciendo la relación que subyace entre los saberes que se conquistan y la naturaleza del poder que se ejerce.This paper presents an analysis of the power-knowledge relationship in the university context. Based on the exploration of the organizational structure of the University of Los Lagos in teaching and institutional management, the spaces of material and symbolic power that men and women occupy are identified. The results of an analysis of positions in the academic hierarchy, earnings and inclusion of the women in the teaching staff regarding both work hours and disciplinary distribution are presented. The investigation aims to reveal the factors that determine the distribution of the spaces of power in the University, establishing the relationships that underlie the acquisition of knowledge and the nature of the exercise of power.
