50 Jahre Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Medizinisches Bibliothekswesen (AGMB): Vorsitzende der AGMB beantworten Fragen zur Rolle von Medizinbibliotheken im Wandel der Zeiten

Abstract

The German Medical Library Association (AGMB) was founded in 1970, so it had its 50 anniversary in 2020. Due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, no anniversary celebration could take place. For this reason, former chairmen and chairwomen of the AGMB Ulrich Korwitz, Dorothee Boeckh and Diana Klein as well as the current chairwoman Iris Reimann were invited to answer questions about their motives for getting involved in the AGMB, especially as chairpersons, and to report on heights and depths of their work for the AGMB. They also provide information about changes in medical libraries in the past decades and will give an outline on the role of medical libraries in the future. Finally, they will try to assess whether the AGMB will still exist in 50 years.
